Wheat grass- week 2!
They are out of control!! They have doubled since last week. I am so happy with this! Growing things is contagious! I started to grow poppies too! Will post about them next week!
Bamboo Mobiles from Petit Collage
Any store with the word "Petit" in its name is bound to be cute. My theory is proven correct with Petit Collage's wood collages and bamboo mobiles. Modern wall decor design by Lorena Siminovich who was originally born in Buenos Aires, now resides and works in San Francisco.

Silkscreened Cards from Threefold
I love the concept behind these silk screened cards from Threefold's Etsy shop. Light pastels on kraft paper make for a nice contrast. Sharing is caring and thank you Threefold for sharing your lovely cards with us!

Letterpress Engagement Book
Any girl would be so lucky to receive such a lovely engagement book given to her by her beau. The folks over at Studio on Fire have done it again designing a simple, yet elegant book for a groom-to-be to propose to his lucky lady. The book contains notes and emails the couple has written to each other over the years. How sweet is that.
specs via Beast Pieces:
"The gutt of the book is digitally printed in black text. The pages have a single hit of blind letterpress on the french folded edge. The pages are side sewn together and tuck into a custom hard bound book cover with black book cloth. We printed a custom liner on the cover interior with silver ink on black paper. The cover of the book and the title page are also letterpress printed in silver ink. The paper is 100 percent cotton Crane Lettra 80 lb text."

What's for Lunch?
I found some cute Japanese bentos and lunch cases to store all your foods in, because hey, quite honestly, no one wants a smashed banana for lunch. I especially like the little lunch sets that come with a fork and everything.
1. banana case 2. sakura bento 3. froggie bento 4. green leaf lunch set 4. red polka dot lunch set 5. cup o noodle mug
a small word of advice, there is a section of this website that isn't very "family friendly" so be safe when you are surfing! When you browse on the homepage, it will ask you what section you want to visit :)

Paging Dr. Rachel..
So I am a bit behind on my invites but I recently received part 1 or three pieces.
So the printer called us and told us that the die came in for part one of my invite and Rachel and I wanted to come and see the process before they went ahead to print the rest of them.
We arrived at Jeronimo's Lithocraft and watch as the owner himself, Jeronimo, letterpress my invites! It was SO amazing to be able to witness this process.
Jeronimo showed us a few samples of colors he pressed to see what we wanted to do and ended up mixing a metallic copper with black to create this simmering dark brown.
It looked jolie on our kraft paper. As we were testing the color out, I noticed that the date read funny on the invite.. UH OH! It was definitely printed wrong (our fault by the way).
You could see Rachel's brain working and because the die was made of polymer she suggests to Jeronimo if we can try to remove that part from the die. Jeronimo was ok with trying and worst case is that we order a new die. So he pulls the plate off from the letterpress and lays it down to get it ready for surgery. Then he said "Who is going to do it?". Rachel and I looked at each other and I knew we were both thinking.. "WHAT?!?!" Brave Rachel decided to try. She took the exacto knife & this little magnifying glass and started to do surgery on the plate! Here are the pictures!!
Results.. perfect! She took it all off and the printing is now done. Will show pictures when it is all done!

Customize your Chucks
I would have to say that one of my favorite shoes are my Converses. I've been wearing them since I was 16 in all different colors from the jack purcells to the original chucks. The slip ons are nice for lazy folks like myself. Even my dad had a pair of purple hi-tops to play basketball in when he was younger.
I've seen a lot of weddings where the bride and groom and bridal party are all rockin' chucks. Converse lets you customize your own shoe, (to a certain degree) to make it your own. You can now match your chucks to your wedding colors. Check out my creation! You can even put your wedding date or names on the heel. Enjoy!

Claire Pettibone
I am in love with Claire Pettibone's dresses. They give off such a magical feel. The use of light fabrics and floral adornments really make you feel like you're in some kind of fairytale. The first one is my absolute fave.
Things I Like Today (which could change tomorrow)
You can probably see the tech geek in me in some of the selections ^__^

Wheat grass- one week later!!
It worked!!!! I can't believe it! A week ago today, I decided I wanted to see if I could grow wheat grass.. and it worked! In a matter of 7 days this is the result. I am so happy!
The French & Tea
I don't have my own kids yet, but I do have a goddaughter that I love shopping for. Here are some really adorable pieces I found.
A French children's clothing store online: Bonpoint. The French clothes are so classy looking! I love the little matching polka dot scarf, though I'm sure a two year old would rip that off in a heartbeat.
Dresses from Tea Collection. I like the bold colors and large geometric shapes in the first two. The second two would be so cute with some red mary janes.
