A Whale of a Birth Announcement
A fun birth announcement that is played up by the name of the new arrival, Jonas similar to the biblical name Jonah which we know, was swallowed by a whale. Designer Louise-Lotte Brekelmans who hails from Belgium put all the content "inside the whale". The whale flap is tucked and holds the whole announcement together. So adorable!

Hillary Bird
One of my fave booths at Renegade SF was the work of Hillary Bird. Her patterns and unique drawings and choice of color palette really draw her out from the rest. Besides, who doesn't love a bear that will rescue you from a burning house?

Ninteen Seventy Three Stationery
Discovered this adorable UK stationery site called Nineteen Seventy Three. Their style and use of printing techniques is what makes this store different from others.

I love this Animals Parade note card set. Who wouldn't want to write a note on the belly of an elephant! :)
Some of the cards have foiling. How appropriate for a cute little robot.

Kristin Sanchez - Magnificent Bliss
Today, my coworker showed me a birthday party invitation his friend Kristin Sanchez designed for her one-year old daughter. I immediately loved the vintage feel of the illustration and went to see what other goodies she had on her Etsy. I do hope to see more of her illustrated work in her store. Take a look at the initial drawing and the final product of the birthday invitation. Don't forget to check out her blog.

A Spring in the Fall Wedding
I recently designed some invites and stationery for my friend and husband's old high school classmate, Jean. (Whew! that was a mouthful!) Her wedding was held in the fall, but her wedding was very much about the warm colors of spring with pinks, oranges and coral. I worked with her planner Rebecca Reategui on integrating the colors of the wedding into the rest of her stationery. Here are some photos from the awesome Lisa Lefkowitz. You can check out more photos from the wedding on Lisa's blog. More shots of the invite to come!

The programs were accordion style inside tied with ribbon and came in two cover colors of pink and coral. They used leftover belly bands from the invites for the covers as well.

Wow check out these awesome wedding letterpressed invites from Smokeproof Press. I love the typography on the kraft!

This is their wedding program/favor CD cover and inside detail.

They also did a 6-pack of utilitarian gift tags for the holidays. Letterpress printed, drilled & diecut, then packaged with hemp string to affix to holiday packages and bundles.
