A High-Flying Baby Shower

I love the execution of this hot air balloon themed baby shower shot by
Simply Bloom Photography. The colors and elements were inspired by the baby's future room. A lovely palette of grey, peach and seafoam. Custom invites were designed by Kate of Ruby & Willow. The host's mother made all of the amazing looking desserts. I am in awe of those adorable hot air balloon lollipops! A simply gorgeous and unique baby shower!

Wedding on Wood

As an invitation into the fall season, check out this lovely wedding invitation and stationery all silk screened onto wood. It's gives it a really nice and simple elegance. Found on Andrew Bessler's flickr who I presume is the designer:)

Their one piece program

Wow! Even the escort cards are on wood.

A Wedding in a Class of its Own

I somehow stumbled up on Amber and Jeff's wedding site through a random link on Wedding Bee. This wedding happened in 2008 and maybe I'm behind on seeing this particular wedding, but it's so cute that I'll just post about it anyway. You'll see based on their profile how the theme came into play.

"My husband and I met as mechanical engineering students back in university, so it goes without saying that we are quite the science geeks (I was actually in the Math Club during high school, where we stayed after school to write math tests - for fun!)."

Prepare yourselves...

Their save the dates. I love the pencils!!

A matching wedding website. Don't you love when people take consistency seriously?

The invites: A report card and file! Cute red suitcases.
Someone went shopping at Paper Source!

Escort cards in test tubes: adorable!

The rest of the wedding can be viewed here.

Kristin Sanchez - Magnificent Bliss

Today, my coworker showed me a birthday party invitation his friend Kristin Sanchez designed for her one-year old daughter. I immediately loved the vintage feel of the illustration and went to see what other goodies she had on her Etsy. I do hope to see more of her illustrated work in her store. Take a look at the initial drawing and the final product of the birthday invitation. Don't forget to check out her blog.

A Yellow Birthday Party

Alli of Bird Dog Press posted some photos of her son's 3-year old yellow-carnival themed birthday party. Cullin's fave color is yellow so a lot of the designery surrounded that. It was only right that she letterpressed (and sewed pennants) the invitations up and they are AMAZING.

Check out some details of the party including yellow bean bags for a bean bag toss and yellow playdoh, custom labeled bubbles and more. Done so nicely!

More pictures from the big day
