Sneak Peek :: Craft Room Set Up in Progress
Now that we moved into our new house and getting settled in. We are starting to accumulate furniture and things of that sort. My house had this little nook/space upstairs that had a built in desk. At first, I was thinking to myself "What am I going to do with this space!?". Initially, my husband and I were going to share the spare room and turn it into an office/craft room. Then one day it hit me... this space is PERFECT for my new inspiration area for crafting. So this weekend, I took advantage of the 3 days off and went to work. Here is a sneak peek of what I was working on.
Paint + Peg Board = Awesome
The room is almost finished and I will post some pictures up real soon of other things that have been done.

Parisian Baby Shower from HWTM
There's been quite a few circus themed parties but I couldn't get over this adorable New Orleans-based vintage Parisian circus-themed baby shower over at Hostess with the Mostess (that was a mouthful!). The decor, the venue. It all fit so perfectly! See more of the shower at HWTM.

DIY Paint Chip Streamers and Pennants
I love collecting paint chips!!! I always go a bit crazy when I go to a hardware store. I think of ways of recycling them and making something neat out of them!! So here are my attempts. A co-worker had a birthday so I wanted to make streamers to hang over her desk.
MATERIALS::
- Fishing wire or ribbon
- Tape
- Paint chips : 2 of each color or if you want to fold them then you only need one {FREE!!!}
I proceeded to tape one paint chip to the fishing wire and backed the matching color to it.
That is it... easy, fun and SO pretty!

I also used different sizes and folded some of them.
Rachel and I love pennants so I decided to make one!
Next time you are party planning... make sure you stop by your nearest
hardware store for some paint chips!!!

Origami Neutrals
My coworker just showed me the loveliest post from The Sweetest Occasion on an origami table scape. It is a collaboration between stylist Lo Bjurulf and Ikea in celebration of the upcoming wedding of the Swedish crown princess. It looks like simple but creates an impression. The amount of neutrals, browns and khakis together make it look unified. I love that huge paper flower sitting next to the table there.

I also hopped over to the Ikea Sweden to check for more and with the help of Google translate, found some video tutorials on folding some of these paper crafts. I can't quite get what they're but I think it's visually easy enough to understand.

Yellow and Kraft Paper Themed Baby Shower
I had the privilege of helping with one of my dearest friend's baby shower. It was a monkey-themed shower but I didn't want to make it a kid's birthday party. So I improvised by using yellow and kraft paper to decorate.
I made 30 mini loaves of banana bread that were placed in a lunch bag as party favors which were a hit. Thanks mom for helping me! :)
I made little cupcake toppers that came out adorable and fitting for the shower.
I used kraft paper as table runners for each table. Also cards with a monkey on it for guest to write a note to the mommy-to-be.
The finishing touch was the banner I made with cute little clothespins!
Until the next party... =)
