A Kite Birthday Party Invitation

I love this kite-themed party invitation spotted on Our Labor of Love's blog. Everyone receives a kite to decorate and to fly at this party. So fun and creative!

Yellow and white inspired Birthday Party

Our friend and talented photographer, Manus of Manus Chau Photography, was very hands-on for his daughter, Julia, 3rd birthday! Even though there were only a handful of little girls celebrating the big day with Julia, Manus and his wife Annette still threw Julia a party that was put together with lots of love. From cute handmade necklaces to delicious goodies and treats, there is no other way to celebrate!!!

Great job, Manus and Annette!

A Birthday Ice Cream Social!

I have some of the best and most creative coworkers. For my birthday, they managed to turn a dreary old conference room into a fun and color ice cream social parlor. They picked out some adorable sugar cones and striped straws, handmade pinwheels. There were even some homemade delicious french macarons which, by the way, rival some of the ones I've tried in Paris. Delicious!

On top of that, one of my talented, crocheting coworkers crocheted me a set of adorable macarons!! Aren't they lovely??

A Chic Celebration

Sarah of Sarah Chen Photography hosted the most amazing birthday party for her daughter's first birthday. I am oogling at all the details and especially the Antrhopologie-inspired invitation. See more details of the lovely party here.

Sarah worked with Grand Soiree to come up with this amazing party.

Beware: CUTE ATTACK!

I discovered these cake toppers from Lollipop Workshop when I made my daily visit over to Bakerella and just died of a cute attack. They have the cutest little wedding and birthday cake toppers ever and they also do custom ones! GAHHH!

This is what Bakerella received as a gift from them. Check out more photos of her opening her gift.

Robot Cupcakes

So I have a robot themed 1st birthday party in September that I am making cupcakes for. I remember seeing robot cupcakes somewhere in the many many blogs that I have read through... so I decided to try this out before I actually have to make them.

What I used:
Cupcake mix from a box
Frosting to crumb the cupcake
Fondant
Icing
fruit roll up
Skittles

I wanted to try the candy first
Here are the results..

Next batch ... all fondant!

We love letterpress and crude, witty copy

This post is a little for us and a little for my coworker, the copywriter on our team. Check out these fun correspondence & birthday note cards from Old Tom Foolery. It just goes to show that clean type and good copy together go a long way. On top of that, it's letterpressed! What a swell Sunday!
