Choosing a Font Infographic

I love flow charts. This is how all decisions regarding typography will be determined from this day forward. You may need to view the original size for the full experience.

You can also purchase the poster version. Hoorah!

Come One, Come All!

A fun carnival-themed invite. The ticket is the rsvp and it covers up the map revealing some hot spots. Also love the reveal with the gatefold. Designed by Los Angeles designer Meghan Witzke.

Literary Mugs from Penguin Classics

Love it! Penguin Classics' iconic look applied to mugs.

A unique collection of bookish designs based on the classic Penguin® paperback book. Each product design in the collection adapts and plays with the colour, typography and iconic look of the original Penguin series first designed by Edward Young in 1935. The paperback series changed the way people accessed books and learning forever and the iconic distinctive ‘look’ lives on in public design consciousness.

Tony Davis describes the process of creating the idea – 'I’ve always felt there was natural affinity between books and coffee or tea-drinking which wasn’t reflected in the objects we drink out of. It seemed natural to put them together. Luckily, Penguin Books Ltd had the vision to see the potential of this synthesis, and allow us to create what you see today'. The witty combination of author and title combined with colour used in the original books has crossed all age and interest boundaries."

Light on Paper - Wedding Invitations that Shine

Remember my designer friend Deny who proposed with a laser light and a long shutter speed? Well, I finally got his invitations and I'm very excited to share it with you! Deny loves clean type and the color black so it was no surprise when the invite was done with all type. The loveliest part of this invite was not the letterpressed white piece (did I just say that?), it was in fact the blue foiling on the textured black stock. It brings us back to his light theme. When held against sunlight, it reflects beautifully. Congrats again to the happy couple!

Yellow and Kraft Paper Themed Baby Shower

I had the privilege of helping with one of my dearest friend's baby shower. It was a monkey-themed shower but I didn't want to make it a kid's birthday party. So I improvised by using yellow and kraft paper to decorate.

I made 30 mini loaves of banana bread that were placed in a lunch bag as party favors which were a hit. Thanks mom for helping me! :)

I made little cupcake toppers that came out adorable and fitting for the shower.

I used kraft paper as table runners for each table. Also cards with a monkey on it for guest to write a note to the mommy-to-be.

The finishing touch was the banner I made with cute little clothespins!

Until the next party... =)

DIY Handkerchief Wedding Invitations

This is a great DIY wedding invitation and clearly a labor of love from tulle and feathers SDBride. The simple illustrations printed on an handkerchief through an ink-jet printer. Wow! Great work. I really love the use of the vintage looking postage stamps as well. Check out the process and story.
