Wall Decals on Furniture
This cute wallpaper decal by Inke placed on this table top and the worn out school chairs brings so much character in such a little space. This inspires me to continue on the pursuit that less clutter can still be cute.

Lotus Bleu • San Francisco
On one of my many adventures in San Francisco, I can across this amazing store named Lotus Bleu. Filled with textiles of all sorts with different colors and patterns that draw you in from the outside. Besides having an interior designer to help with your home, they also have reupholstered furniture pieces in-store but you can bring in your own furniture to be reupholstered with the fabrics they have (I would be very surprised if you left not finding a fabric you liked)! The other thing they offer is wallpaper, which is what I am thinking using them for my home. They have binders filled with so many wallpaper options to choose from that I was getting overwhelmed. Ikea Hacker for the Craftie
This idea from Ikeahacker is awesome. It combines 4 kitchen cabinets and creates a craft table! This blog has some great ideas using Ikea products. I love improvisation!
The designer wanted to create a larger craft table area. The solution was to buy four Ikea base kitchen cabinets (2, 30" and 2, 18") and they bolted together on the bottom and added turned feet for elevation.
They then covered the MDF that they mounted on top with nice fabric which we stapled on underneath the edge. A piece of glass cut to cover the whole top. To finish it off, they added wood trim to hide the 'seams' between cabinets, glass knobs, and an Ikea rod (Bygel).

Furniture Finds in Healdsburg
This past weekend, a group of our friends enjoyed the weekend up in Sonoma, CA for a mini-getaway and of course, some wine tasting. We ventured out into a small town called Healdsburg that was full of cute stores and lots and lots of wine tasting rooms.
Wendy from dozi and I immediately took to the store 14Feet and were drooling over every other piece.
14feet. specializes in one-of-a-kind vintage industrial and mid-century pieces. brought back to a modern sensibility, the pieces work equally well in both classic and modern homes.
Some of our faves included:
This was one of my favorites. I loved the drawers on the side and the little orange stools that sat around it. The orange really gives it some depth. I don't know if it was a total set, but it seemed to go well together.
This desk is amazing. Vintage circa 1940's metal tambour top executive desk with brass details. Very rare in steel and extremely heavy.
If my house had the capacity to fit all this beautiful furniture, 14feet would be empty in a heartbeat.
