It's the Cold, It's the Flu, It's a Baby??! The Big Reveal!

Friends of the internets, I have been slightly neglecting our dear friend joilejolie and after weeks of nausea, fatigue and exhaustion, I am happy to report that I do not have the flu or the cold. I am actually expecting (14 weeks to be exact)!

I thought it would be fun to share with you how we revealed it to our friends. My birthday happened to land in the weekend that I entered my second trimester which is traditionally when it is safe to share with others the good news.

I decided to have a fiesta-themed party at a park because I LOVE TACOS. I hired a caterer to come and make fresh made-to-order tacos in a little cart, full on salsa bar and some tasty agua fresca.


What else would be missing from a fiesta-themed party? A piñata of course! The plan was to fill the piñata with candies along with a little note that would announce the news. The kids took the first initial whack at it, as did I. Eventually one of our friends decapitated it which I thought would foil our plan but watch the video to see what happens!
