Handmade notebook
Jonze of Jonze design is one of our faithful readers and wanted to share with us a notebook/organizer she created out of a topshop bag that she had that had its zipper broken.
To keep the whole thing together, thread in grey, black and silver were cut and plaited together. She also embroidered the logo herself which I thought was pretty cool! Read more about the deets here. Thanks for sharing with us, Jonze!
More Jessica Claire!
Also feast your eyes on this beautiful event she shot! Those hot air balloons are incredible. The whole tone of this event is amazing. More here!

Jessica Claire's Handmade Book Invitations
I was going to call it a day on blog posts since it's Friday and the day is almost over but then my friend spotted these amazing book invitations on wedding photographer Jessica Claire's blog.
Each invitation came in an old hollowed out book. The main invitation piece is held back by a steel grey grosgrain ribbon and is sealed with a copper wax seal with a photo of a lock. Sitting on the left side some nice copper paper pockets from Kate's Papeterie are the additional invite pieces. Each invite had a different kind of button affixed to it.
A wax lock holds the book together.
Here is also a shot of their save the date which was letterpressed.
Read more about the process here.

A juicy way to take notes!
Unfortunately these sweet, pineapple sticky notepads are sold out in its shop, but still worthy of sharing! I think i'm just drawn to things related to food.

Acorn House Identity
Inventory Studios of London which is a fairly new design firm founded in 2008. One of their projects I really enjoyed was their identity for the restaurant Acorn House restaurant. As a collective piece, the design is fairly subtle but highlighted with good concepts and printing embellishments.
Instead of a book of matches, they have booklets of seeds with card planters. I love that they look like the little planter stakes.
"The hand-made menu covers were embossed with the skeleton of a tree and foil-blocked with a variety of patterns of silver leaves. They were also coated with waxed muslin, creating a wipe-clean, fibrous surface."
